Wallet Address

The public string of letters and numbers people use to send Malairte to you.

A wallet address is the public identifier for a wallet on the Malairte blockchain. It is usually a long string of letters and numbers, around 30 to 60 characters in length. You can safely share your address with anyone who needs to send you coins — it works much like a bank account number or an email address for receiving payments. The address is derived from your public key, which is in turn derived from your private key, but the maths only flows one way: nobody can work out your private key or recovery phrase by looking at your address. A wallet can have many addresses, and using a fresh one for each transaction improves your privacy.
